The Public Theater announced today that David Hare's PLENTY will receuve its first major New York revival as part of The Public's 2016-17 season. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux and featuring Academy and Olivier Award winner Rachel Weisz, the award-winning post-World War II drama about a former secret agent first premiered at The Public in 1982 and then transferred to Broadway in 1983 to receive a Tony nomination for Best Play.
Paper Mill Playhouse will be hosting an invite-only, industry reading of Paul Slade Smith's The Outsider this March in New York City. In line with Paper Mill Playhouse's mission of fostering a creative environment for advancing the art form, the theater is bringing together top industry professionals to aid in the development of the play.

THE COLOR PURPLE recorded its official Broadway cast album in December, and it is available online and in stores today, February 19, released by Broadway Records. The album is produced by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.
The producers of Broadway's Finding Neverland have regretfully announced that the beloved stage and screen actress Sandy Duncan, who recently joined the magical production in the role of Madame Du Maurier, must take an immediate, yet temporary leave of absence from the show due to family obligations. The entire company looks forward to warmly welcoming Ms. Duncan back to Neverland as soon as she's able to return. The show, playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street), will continue with its current stars Tony Yazbeck, Kelsey Grammer and Laura Michelle Kelly, supported by a cast of Broadway's best. Ms. Duncan's replacement will be announced shortly.
