Billboard reports that, earlier this month, Victoria's Secret came under fire when its chief marketing officer, Ed Razek, made insensitive comments about plus-sized and transgender models. 'It's like, why doesn't your show do this? Shouldn't you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don't think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It's a 42-minute entertainment special. That's what it is,” Razek told Vogue. 

Dick clark productions and ABC today announced hosts and musical performances for America's biggest live New Year's television broadcast, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019." Emmy®-winning producer and television/radio personality Ryan Seacrest will return to host from Times Square for his 13th year, with live onsite reporting by actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy. Multiplatinum music superstar Ciara will return to ring in the new year from the West Coast as the host of the Hollywood Party, joined by performances from Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Foster the People, Dua Lipa, Ella Mai and Charlie Puth. The festivities will also feature a performance by Macklemore with Skylar Grey presented by Planet Fitness, and a special collaboration from The Chainsmokers featuring Kelsea Ballerini. Also announced today, award-winning actress Lucy Hale will return to host the third annual Central Time Zone celebration from New Orleans, providing viewers with exclusive performances and interviews leading up to the midnight countdown and stunning fleur-de-lis drop near Jackson Square at the dawn of the New Year.

To kick off the holiday season, ABC Radio announces a three-hour country music special, “Holiday Season Serenade,” hosted by country music star Martina McBride, and a three-hour special titled “America Gives Thanks.” These two specials will be available over the Thanksgiving weekend.

ABC celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with special '25 Days of Christmas' programming starting Dec. 1. The network joins Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior in this fan-favorite TV event. The 'Kickoff to Christmas' begins in late November with perennial holiday treat 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.' Today Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) confirmed that its 'Building a Better World' float will appear in the 92 nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade . This year GSUSA will celebrate girls who are building a better world through science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). At a time when women account for half the college-educated workforce but fill just 29 percent of science and engineering occupations,Girl Scouts is cultivating girls' interest in these topics from an early age and helping them build valuable STEM skills so they can take the lead and positively influence our world. Performing on the Girl Scout float will be 15-year-old rising pop-country star and Girl Scout Tegan Marie. In true trailblazing Girl Scout fashion, she'll be one of the youngest country performers in the Parade's history and the youngest performer ever on the Girl Scout float.
