The Casting Society of America (CSA) has announced the presenters for the organization's New York 29th Annual Artios Awards for outstanding achievement in casting given in 22 categories including film, television and theater.

In the morning before PBS aired Lincoln Center's COMPANY last night, November 8, Jon Cryer, who starred in the production as 'David', Tweeted to his followers that they should tune in. Little did he know he would be starting a back-and-forth on who best portrayed the role of 'Bobby' -- Neil Patrick Harris or Raul Esparza -- with actor Josh Charles (The Good Wife). Paul Rudd's 2nd Annual All-Star Bowling Benefit takes place today, Monday, October 21st, 2013 with a 7pm Cocktail Reception, followed by bowling, billiards, an open bar, dinner, and a special performance at Lucky Strike Lanes, 624-660 W. 42nd St. & 12th Ave, NYC.

Also, contrary to published reports, Nathan Lane is not currently attached to the workshop. We have confirmed that featured amongst the cast are Bobby Steggert, Michael Urie, and Alan Cumming. The New York Times is now reporting that Tony-winning director John Tiffany is directing and 2008 Tony nominee Daniel Evans is playing 'Bobby', who will be gay in this version of the show.

The 2013 PBS Arts Fall Festival returns in October with seven weekly programs that highlight Broadway classics, music from around the country, and legendary superstar Barbra Streisand.

Billy Porter, 2013 Tony Award Winner for Best Actor in a Musical (Kinky Boots) surprised students of Broadway Artists Alliance Summer Intensive Session One with his appearance on July 25th. Porter entertained the students with tales of his experiences. In addition, he participated in a Q&A, answering student's questions and providing advice for young performers. With a kind demeanor and sweet charm, former Houston-area actress Sadie Sink has no problems in that domain. This morning, I got to chat with the 11-year-old starlet who is now sharing the role of titular role with Taylor Richardson in the Broadway revival of ANNIE. In our brief talk, we discussed how she got started acting and what it is like playing Annie in both Houston and in New York City.

Tony Award winner Gabriel Ebert visited students at Broadway Artists Alliance Alumni Session to share his journey from young actor to Tony Award Winner.
