Burbank International Film Festival Sets 2015 Lineup

The 7th Burbank International Film Festival, which will run September 9th through 13th, announced its full lineup today, including 100 films from 31 countries, 25 world premieres, 22 award categories, and opening and closing night screenings. EPIX and FEARnet to Present “Maidens of Mayhem” Horror Week, Beginning Today

Let's hear it for the ladies of horror: those evil, tormented women, who have been inhabited by the devil or perhaps chased by a crazed lunatic wielding a deadly chainsaw. Fear not, your nightmares have been answered as EPIX and FEARnet have partnered to present 'Maidens of Mayhem,' a week-long festival of horror films featuring possessed ladies and the men/women and other entities who love them - or want to kill them. The festival begins on FEARnet today, October 14th and moves to EPIX on Thursday, October 17th with a special presentation of the original Carrie (1976) starring Sissy Spacek on the eve of the latest film adaptation of the Stephen King novel, starring Chlo? Grace-Moretz and Julianne Moore. Following the film, EPIX will present a World Premiere sneak peek at the new movie (see full schedule below).

Stars turned out on Sunday, May 5 in Hollywood, California, for the 34th Young Artist Awards honoring child and teen actors in movies and television. The event, sponsored by the Young Artist Foundation, raises money each year to help struggling young actors and musicians pursue their dreams. This year's award winners included Kathryn Newton ('Paranormal Activity 4'), Quvenzhané Wallis ('Beasts of the Southern Wild'), Isabella Palmieri ('Falling Skies'), Tyree Brown ('Parenthood'), Isabella Allen ('Les Miserables'), Sebastian Banes ('In the Family') and many more. Teenage musical group Jetset Getset, recently named by the Country Music Association in Nashville among “Who New to Watch in 2013,” will perform in Los Angeles for the first time at the 34th Young Artist Awards (YAA) on Sunday, May 5. The annual event honors child and teen actors and actresses in movies and television.
