Just released are the first stills from Roman Polanski's upcoming big screen adaptation of God of Carnage that will debut this summer at the Venice Film Festival (August 31- September 10). The film features John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz in the new version of Yasmina Reva's Tony-winning play and is due to hit movie theatres in the United States on November 18, 2011.

According to Baz Bamingboye in his Daily Mail UK column, the Weinstein Company is planning a four-week workshop of the new musical, Finding Neverland, this fall in New York. The workshop, directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford is said to star Julian Ovenden as J.M. Barrie and Kelli O'Hara as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies. Bamingboye writes that 'if it works - and Ovenden and O'Hara are available - the Weinsteins will launch a big production for Broadway.'

The nominations were released this morning for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards. Mad Men topped the list with 19 nominations, followed by Boardwalk Empire with 18, Modern Family with 17, Saturday Night Live with 16, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock with 13 and GLEE with 12. DanceOn, the YouTube partnership channel exclusive to dance videos, released their behind the scenes look at the highly anticipated Sony animated film The Smurfs. Choreographer Keith Young talks about the process of choreographing for animation and how he brought the smurfs to life. Plus what it was like to work with leading actors Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria. The Smurfs hits theaters nationwide on July 29, 2011.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles® (BAFTA Los Angeles) will honor Academy Award® winning writer/director John Lasseter with the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment, and BAFTA winning director David Yates with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing at the 2011 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards on Wednesday, November 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Yasmina Reza's 2009 Tony Award-winning play, under the direction of Guthrie Associate Artistic Director John Miller-Stephany, pits two highly-strung couples against each other in a 90-minute laugh-out-loud comedy hailed as a 'four-way prize fight' by The New York Times.
