 On December 3-4, former US Vice President Al Gore will host The Climate Reality Project's eighth-annual 24 Hours of Reality broadcast - 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves - a 24-hour live event exploring how the climate crisis is threatening human health worldwide. This year's program will be carried by broadcast partners globally and streamed live online at 24HoursofReality.org.

American Idol winner and Hollywood Records/Industrial Media's 19 Recordings recording artist, Maddie Poppe, has announced her highly-anticipated next single, “Keep On Movin' On,” due for release October 26th. The song was written by Jarrad Kritzstein (Kate Nash, Weezer), Brandon Lowry (Brittney Spears, Elle King) and Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini). The release marks her first original music since her Idol release, “Going Going Gone.” Maddie will perform the single for the first time on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan on October 26th.

Premonitions, the debut album from vocalist and songwriter Miya Folick, is due October 26 on Terrible Records/Interscope Records; see below for full details including the track list and album artwork featuring her parents. Once Upon a Rhyme: A Musical Tale (formerly iLLA! A Hip Hop Musical), with book, music, and lyrics by Ronve O'Daniel and music, orchestrations, and arrangements by Jevares C. Myrick will be presented as part of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2018 New Works Festival.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.

ASCAP, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, will present acclaimed musician Lana Del Rey with its ASCAP Global Impact Award at the 35 th annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on Monday, April 23 rd in Los Angeles. The same evening, ASCAP will also recognize Grammy-winning rock bandPortugal. The Man with the ASCAP Vanguard Award. Legendaryhitmaker and Songwriters Hall of Fame member Desmond Child was previously announced as the night's ASCAP Founders Award winner.

The Regrettes have confirmed additional tour dates for summer 2018, continuing what has already been a momentous 2018 for the band.
