Tron Theatre Presents Dark, Absurdist New Play By Martin Mccormick As Centrepiece Of Mayfesto

Tron Theatre Company in association with the National Theatre of Scotland will present the world premiere of Ma, Pa and the Little Mouths, a dark, absurdist piece of new writing by Martin McCormick at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow as part of Mayfesto, before it transfers to the Traverse Theatre. Martin's previous work includes Squash (Winner, best new play CATS 2015), The Day the Pope Emptied Croy (Traverse/Play Pie Pint), Flo (Play Pie Pint/Lemon Tree), Potterrow (Best Short Play 2015) and News Just In (Random Accomplice).

BWW Review: SHAKESPEARE TRILOGY, King's Cross Theatre, 22 November 2016

'Inmates, coming through.' That's our introduction to Phyllida Lloyd's landmark trilogy, as the homogenised prisoners are steered through the audience by prison officers. But this extraordinarily empathetic project, developed with Clean Break, gives those inmates individual voices and means of expression, while the all-female cast that inhabit them gives new voice to three familiar plays.

Donmar Warehouse's All-Female THE TEMPEST Begins Tonight at King's Cross

Singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading will compose original music for Phyllida Lloyd's forthcoming production of The Tempest. The songs will be set to Shakespeare's words in the Donmar's new all-female production which starts performance from tonight 23rd September.

David Ian Productions and the Ambassador Theatre Group have announced that Scotland's very own Gavin Mitchell will play 'Bob' and Karen Dunbar will play 'Shirley' in the smash hit musical PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT when it plays at the Edinburgh Playhouse from Tuesday 15 December 2015 to Saturday 2 January 2016. They join Jason Donovan as 'Tick', Simon Green as 'Bernadette' and Adam Bailey as 'Felicia'.

All-Female HENRY IV Extends Off-Broadway at St. Ann's Warehouse

Remaining performances in the initial run (November 6 - December 6) include November 17-21, 24-25, 27-28, and December 1-5 at 7:30pm; November 22 & 29 and December 6 at 7pm; and November 21-22, 28-29 and December 5-6 at 2pm. The extension performances will take place December 8-12 at 7:30pm, December 12 & 13 at 2pm, and December 13 at 7pm.
