Brooklyn Academy of Music Chairman Alan H. Fishman today announced the appointment of Katy Clark as incoming BAM president. She succeeds President Karen Brooks Hopkins, who will step down at the end of June. Katy Clark comes to BAM from New York's Orchestra of St. Luke's, where she has served as president and executive director since 2010.

The companies for this session represent mixed disciplines ranging from dance to theater to opera. Chosen by a BAM-convened panel, the organizations taking part in this session are Encompass New Opera Theatre, Satellite Collective, Summation Dance, and Treehouse Shakers. As with the previous sessions, the DeVos Institute extended invitations to a group of organizations to apply for the training portion of the BAM PDP-expanding the program's reach beyond Brooklyn-based companies.
