Tennessee Williams Festival Announces Annual Dinner in Provincetown

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival announces today that its Annual Dinner will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017. The gala will be held at Town Hall in Provincetown to support the organization's 12th-annual Festival, which will celebrate Tennessee Williams and William Shakespeare when performances around the world come to Provincetown from Sept. 21-24, 2017.

Hitchcock Thriller North by Northwest Returns to the Big Screen on 4/5

Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Warner Bros. Entertainment are bringing North by Northwest to select cinemas nationwide for a special event, which also includes an introduction from a TCM host. The Ridgefield Playhouse and Craig's Fine Jewelry Live in HD Series will bring North by Northwest back to the big screen on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m.  Cary Grant stars as an innocent man mistaken for a spy in one of director Alfred Hitchcock's greatest thrillers. While leaving New York's Plaza Hotel, advertising executive Roger Thornhill (Grant) has the misfortune of standing just as the name 'George Kaplan' is paged, starting a lethal case of mistaken identity and a nonstop game of cat and mouse as he is pursued across North America by espionage agents trying to kill him--and by police who suspect him of murder. The classic film stars Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, Martin Landau.

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Parody Extends in San Francisco

Due to overwhelming audience response, Cloud 9 Theatricals, in association with Lang Entertainment Group and Ray of Light Theatre, announced today the extension of the San Francisco premiere of SILENCE! The Musical - the "subversively funny and deliciously tasty" award-winning musical parody of "The Silence of the Lambs." Originally scheduled to close on Saturday, February 25, tickets are now on-sale through Saturday, March 18.

Jewish Museum Presents February Programming

The Jewish Museum's 2017 slate of lectures, discussions, and events continues in February with a lecture by guest curator Esther da Costa Meyer on Pierre Chareau: Modern Architecture and Design, and a concert by the low string quartet Bonjour. 

FJK Dance to Perform in China, 2/28-4/30

Fadi Khoury's FJK DANCE will bring 10 company dancers to China, kicking off the company's first extended international tour to the Far East, February 28 to April 30. The eight-week multi-city tour will present three FJK DANCE repertory works, Take Two, Echoes and Dum Tak, in 31 Chinese cities including Wuhan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wenzhou, introducing FJK's unique blend of ballroom, ballet, jazz and Middle Eastern dance to new international audiences. The company's multicultural approach to the medium will be presented in more than 30 theaters throughout the run.

COCA Announces $40 Million Campaign and Expansion

The CITYPAK Project Partners with Local Shelters to Distribute Custom-Designed Backpacks for Los Angeles Homeless

The CITYPAK Project, a charitable initiative that provides specially designed backpacks to empower the homeless, will distribute CITYPAK backpacks to those in need at five upcoming events in Los Angeles. Beginning Tuesday, February 14th - Valentine's Day - distributions will take place at shelters and community centers throughout the city that serve the homeless, including at-risk homeless youth and the LGBT community.
