The fairy tale misfit adventure, Shrek The Musical Jr., comes to life on the Dallas stage with The J's Performing Arts Space (JPAS) productions of the of the adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. Shrek The Musical Jr. is comprised of two casts with actors ages 6 to 18. The Green Cast performs Thursday, March 23 at 7 p.m. andSunday, March 26 at 2 and 7 p.m.; the Blue Cast performs Thursday, March 30 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. and onSunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in The J's Zale Auditorium at 7900 Northaven Road in Dallas. Attendees are encouraged to get involved in the show by dressing as their favorite fairytale character and purchasing a prop bag for audience interaction. Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre is pleased to present Cinderella and Fella, a contemporary musical spin on the Cinderella fairytale. Rosemary Newcott, the Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth and Families, directs this family friendly one-act production. Cinderella and Fella will run twice a day on Saturdays and Sundays, March 19 - April, 2017. Opening night is Tuesday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Lincoln Center Moments, a program for individuals with dementia and their caregivers, launches on Friday, March 17, with a performance of a Schumann piano trio featuring musicians of the New York Philharmonic. Created to bring Lincoln Center's unparalleled artistry to an intimate and supportive setting, the free performance series is designed to address the needs of the rapidly growing population affected by dementia and provide meaningful connections to the arts for an audience that may be unable to attend mainstream performances. The spring 2017 season features six performances representing genres across the Lincoln Center's campus. Participants enjoy one-hour-long chamber music, jazz, and theater performances, each followed by a one-hour, interactive workshop to share their experience with their fellow concertgoers. The Cincinnati Arts Association is pleased to announce the winners of its Overture Awards Competition, held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Aronoff Center's Jarson-Kaplan Theater, and the winner of its Arts Educator Award for Excellence in Arts Instruction. The competition awarded $4,000 to six area students for education and training, with 18 runners-up each winning $1,000, while the Arts Educator Award winner received $2,500 and two finalists were awarded $500 each.
