The Broadway packed NURSE JACKIE on Showtime has just been renewed for a fourth season, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Starring Edie Falco in the title role, the show has featured a parade (which we hope never ends) of other Broadway talent and guest stars as well. The Season 3 finale of NURSE JACKIE is set to air next month.

Monday nights have been long enjoyed by theatregoers and all of us here at BroadwayWorld.com as the night where there's more cabarets, benefit concerts and other special events than we know how to handle. The beginning of the week has gotten even more complicated now, because in addition to all of those, we're now finding ourselves rushing home to be in front of the TV at 10pm to watch the wonderful NURSE JACKIE on Showtime, starring Edie Falco. On Monday, May 2, 2011 The New York Pops' marks its 28th birthday with Celebrate Hope, a grand gala evening celebrating the legacy of late actor and comedian Bob Hope and honoring decades of support by Interpublic Group. The event begins at 7:00 PM with a concert at Carnegie Hall featuring a special lineup of concert artists - including Brooke Shields, Cheyenne Jackson, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O'Hara, Maurice Hines, Cartier Williams and special guest Angela Lansbury - under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The New York Pops will also be joined on stage by the singers of The Camp Broadway Kids and the West Point Glee Club. Following the concert, a black tie dinner and dance will be held at the luxurious Plaza Hotel.

The performance-entitled The Power of Two after their 2009 album of the same name-will feature the duo performing pop songs, classic standards, and numbers from Broadway shows like Kiss Me Kate, City of Angels, and The King and I. Their work together has been called 'passionate, impeccably harmonized, and groundbreaking' by The New York Times, and 'provocative entertainment' by The New York Observer.
