The unequalled Julia Migenes brought her holiday show Julia Migenes' Holiday Magic from Bach to Pop! to the Upright Cabaret on Vermont St in Hollywood Sunday December 20; this diva could sing the phone book and I'd show up. Dressed in black velvet and quoting from Stephen Nissenbaum's book The Battle for Christmas (1997), Migenes was nothing less than enchanting on both sophisticated and pure entertainment levels, as she made her way through close to 25 tunes from Mozart's 'Laudate Dominum' to Mel Torme's 'The Christmas Song.'

Broadway legend Barbara Cook will return to the New York Philharmonic for a one-night-only performance Saturday, May 30, at 8:00 p.m., conducted by her acclaimed music director, Lee Musiker. Ms. Cook plans to bring to the Avery Fisher Hall stage songs she has never before performed with the New York Philharmonic, such as Stephen Sondheim's 'Send in the Clowns' from A Little Night Music, selections from Meredith Wilson?s The Music Man, and Sondheim?s ?No One Is Alone? from Into the Woods.

Reprise Theatre Company presents Brian Stokes Mitchell Sings Broadway, a program especially created for Reprise. It will have one performance only on Monday, May 11 at 8 pm, at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Broadway legend Barbara Cook will return to the New York Philharmonic for two evenings - Saturday, May 30, and Tuesday, June 2, 2009, both at 8:00 p.m. - with the Philharmonic conducted by her acclaimed music director, Lee Musiker. Tony Award winner and recent Encores! 'Music In The Air' leading lady Kristin Chenoweth is set to perform a special benefit concert for L.A.'s Reprise Theatre Company on Monday, February 23 at the UCLA Freud Playhouse.

The 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company season continues with the classic international hit 'Man of La Mancha,' starring Brent Spiner as Cervantes/Quixote. Julia Migenes, the renowned opera and theatre performer, will play Aldonza/Dulcinea; Valerie Perri will play the role of Aldonza/Dulcinea at matinee performances; and Tony nominee Lee Wilkof will play Sancho Panza. 'Man of La Mancha' is written by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. The production will be directed by Michael Michetti, co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court. 'La Mancha' will play at the Freud Playhouse from February 14-March 1 (press opening February 15).
