The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel presents award-winning lyricist and composer Paul Williams for an exclusive two-week engagement, and his debut, at the legendary Cafe Carlyle. The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel will usher in the holiday season with Steve Tyrell at the Café Carlyle. His new show and tribute to Sammy Cahn, Christmas at the Carlyle: The Songs of Sammy Cahn, features songs from the famed songwriter whose music continues to inspire generations today. Songs from the engagement will be included in the forthcoming Concord release, 'It's Magic, the Songs of Sammy Cahn' due out spring 2013. Mr. Tyrell opened at the Café Carlyle last night, November 27th and play through December 31st. Cehck out photos from the concert below!

Stoopid Daddy Records will present An Evening of Swing, Stride and Boogie Woogie Piano tonight, October 19, 2012, 9 PM in association with the 12 Grapes Restaurant, 12 North Division St., Peekskill NY. The talents of 5 New York-based pianists will be featured: Dave Keyes, Jon Cobert, Scott Staton, Loren Korevec and Chase Garrett. Also featured will be 5 guest vocalists: The Blues Buddha, Duchess Di, Curtis Winchester, Susan McMahon and a rare NY performance by Denny Leroux.

Tony Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto, hosted a gala event for Exploring the Arts tonight which raised over $1.2M for arts education in NYC public high schools. 17-time Grammy winner Sting opened the evening with a performance followed by gala host Katie Couric, who conducted an on stage interview with students supported by Exploring the Arts programs. The evening was capped by a performance by 17-time Grammy winner Tony Bennett.

Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Liza Minnelli, Itzhak Perlman, Lang Lang, Michael Feinstein, Chris Botti, Maria Friedman, Brian d'Arcy James, Carter Brey, Essential Voices USA, former cast members of A Chorus Line and cast members of The Nutty Professor came together for an invitation only event yesterday, September 18, 2012 to pay tribute to Marvin Hamlisch.
