The 32nd Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards were held on Monday, June 2 at 7:30pm at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

The producers of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL have announced that Josh Tower (The Lion King, original cast of Ragtime) will assume the role of "Berry Gordy" beginning Tuesday, June 17 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

The first set of presenters have been announced for the 32nd Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards which will be held on Monday, June 2 at 7:30pm at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Set to present are Tony Award-winners Hal Prince & Bebe Neuwirth, Emmy Award-winner Valerie Harper, Scandal's Joe Morton, Dancing with the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Sandy Duncan. (UMC) will launch its 2014 developmental reading series at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts with a special presentation of Peggy-Ann, the hit 1926 musical comedy with a book by Tony Award winner Herbert Fields (Annie Get Your Gun) and a score by the legendary songwriting team of Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart (Pal Joey, On Your Toes). The reading, directed by Ben West (Unsung Carolyn Leigh, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad), will be held Thursday, May 22 at 2:30 PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium.

Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW) just announced that it has earned rights to license BIG FISH. The show, which starred Norbert Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin on Broadway, will be available beginning Autumn 2014.

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture just launched its first exhibition of 2014, MOTOWN: THE TRUTH IS A HIT. Featuring items that highlight Motown's inimitable founder Berry Gordy and the institution's most beloved musical acts, the multi-media showcase chronicles one of the most significant record labels in American music history. According to The New York Times, South Korean Broadway producer Kim Byeong-seok of entertainment company CJ E&M, who helped produce the two productions on Broadway, is interested in bringing Tony winner 'KINKY' and the recently closed 'FISH' abroad.
