CUNY TV will salute the upcoming 2017 Tony Awards with a new TONY Preview Special on ARTS IN THE CITY, plus a new 2017 TONY Predictions episode and a new TONY Time Critics panel, both on THEATER TALK. In addition, CUNY TV will present a marathon showing of THEATER TALK 2016-17 episodes and other programs related to this year's Tony nominees - all leading up to 8pm on June 11 when the annual TONY AWARDS Ceremony begins on CBS.

Additional stars have been announced for the 71st Annual Tony Awards, which will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on CBS, Sunday, June 11th, 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay). The TONY AWARDS are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Just last night, the 73rd Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony was held at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street), current home of The Great Comet, recipient of 12 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical.

On May 3, the 2017 Tony nominees flocked to the Sofitel New York, where they met with the press for the first time since getting the big news. BWW has learned that some of the biggest stars from theater, television, film and music will take the stage at THE 71st ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Sunday, June 11th.

Three "Great Comet" Broadway cast members - Cathryn Wake, Mary Page Nance, and Lauren Zakrin - created a music video for the original song "Pussy Power", featuring women and all-gendered allies celebrating female empowerment while reclaiming the word "pussy". Check out the video below!

The New York Times has revealed the first details on this year's Tony Awards broadcast performances including scoops that Josh Groban will lead the cast of NATASHA, PIERRE in a mash-up, DEAR EVAN HANSEN will perform 'Waving Through a Window' led by Ben Platt, and  the FALSETTOS cast will reunite.

Renowned journalist Katie Couric stopped by Pierre's Russian salon this week when she saw Broadway's NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812.
