BWW Review: BAD JEWS, New Alexandra Theatre Birmingham, May 3 2016

Family gatherings and occasions are frequently tarnished by disagreements; none more so than at weddings, christenings and funerals when extended families are often brought together. Joshua Harmon's play Bad Jews takes place following a family funeral and an heirloom belonging to the deceased is being fought over. This dark situational comedy is set in a plush studio apartment in Manhattan where cousins are staying overnight amidst the Jewish commemorations following their Grandfather's passing.

BAD JEWS Returning for Limited West End Run

Due to popular demand, Theatre Royal Bath Productions, Kenny Wax and Theatre Royal Haymarket Productions are delighted to announce the return of Joshua Harmon's BAD JEWS to the West End, at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket. The critically-acclaimed production will run from 8th February until 19th March 2016, following sell out runs at Ustinov Studio, Bath, St James Theatre and The Arts Theatre, London.

Southampton's Nuffield Announces Complete Cast of THE SNOW QUEEN

This Christmas Southampton's Nuffield is producing an enchanting new version of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale The Snow Queen, featuring new songs, magical staging and a delightfully humorous retelling of this timeless story that will melt your heart. The adaptation is written by acclaimed TV comedy writer, Georgia Pritchett (The Thick of It, Veep, Miranda), with music composed by Dougal Irvine. Sarah Tipple (Dirty Dancing: The Musical, West End and UK Tour), directs the production.

Workshop Presentation of VAN WINKLE: A FOLK MUSICAL at St. James Theatre 17 October

On Friday 17th October at 1.30pm, at the St James Theatre, SimG Productions presents a workshop presentation of the new musical, 'Van Winkle - a folk musical,' directed by Simon Greiff. Written by Caroline Wigmore, with arrangements and orchestrations by Jen Green, Van Winkle is a retelling of Washington Irving's classic tale, Rip Van Winkle.

BWW Reviews: WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS Album

Words Shared With Friends is an album featuring some of the best West End vocalists that we have to offer. The CD consists of a heterogeneous mix of music styles with something to appeal to everyone. Lyricist Robert Gould, whose credits include 'The Land's Shore', 'After The Turn' and 'Grace Notes', works alongside a variety of composers on this album including Christopher J.Orton, Tristan Bons and Ty Kroll.

Trehearn, McCourt and More To Perform At WORDS SHARED WITH FRIENDS Album Launch Concert, Leicester Square Theatre Lounge, April 13

The Leicester Square Theatre Lounge will host a launch concert on Sunday April 13 for 'Words Shared With Friends', an album of songs with an eclectic and international mix of musical styles (pop, rock and musical theatre from the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Israel & the USA) composed by Christopher J. Orton, Ben Messenger, Joe Sterling, Jonathan Eio, Filip von Uexkull, Tristan Bons, Omri Lahav, Dean Heller and Ty Kroll - and lyrics written or co-written by lyricist Robert Gould.

The eight time Tony award-winning musical Once is currently booking at the Phoenix Theatre to 31 May 2014. With a cast led by Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cviteši? as Guy and Girl respectively, John Tiffany's West End production of the hit musical opened at the Phoenix Theatre in April this year where it has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. At each performance, live on stage, the Company play 10 CF Martin guitars, 2 violins, 1 melodica, 1 cello, 2 mandolins, 1 ukelele, 1 bass guitar, 1 banjo, 2 cajon's, 1 drum kit, 1 piano, 1 harmonica and 1 concertina and on the West End's only on stage bar, audience members can join the cast for the start of the show and at the interval. Gavin Creel, Carley Stenson & More Set for COLLABORATIONS Concert Tonight

Tonight, September 22, COLLABORATIONS: The songs of Elliot Davis written with Anthony Drewe, George Stiles, Graham Gouldman (10cc), Stephen Clark and James Bourne (Busted), will be performed as a part of St. James Studio Cabaret Weekends.The event will be performed on the night by the finest performers from the West End including: Julie Atherton, Paul Baker, Cassie Compton, Gavin Creel, Gary Kemp, James Rhodes, Caroline Sheen, Jos Slovick, Carley Stenson, Scarlett Strallen, Kara Tointon and Michael Xavier.
