The Signature Theatre, nationally renowned for its innovation in musical theater, will reinvent the 1927 classic American musical, Show Boat, in a brand new production playing November 10, 2009 through January 17, 2010.

A collection of some of Broadway's most well known orchestrators will come together for a series of discussions at the New York Public Library beginning October 19th. The evening will feature Larry Blank, Elliot Lawrence, Sid Ramin, and Jonathan Tunick for the 'Broadway Orchestrations' discussion. Following that, they will be joined by Harold Prince, John Kander and Sheldon Harnick for a discussion entitled 'The Authors and the Creators.'

The new production of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A CHORUS LINE comes to the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary for a limited one-week engagement October 27 through November 1, 2009.

Kate Baldwin, currently starring in the Broadway revival of FINIAN'S RAINBOW that took it's opening night bow last night, is set to perform in concert at Feinstein's at Loews Regency on December 13th. The 2009 Theatre Hall of Fame inductees have been revealed and include such icons as actors Jim Dale, John McMartin and Lynn Redgrave; producers Roger Berlind and Ted Mann; composers Stephen Schwartz and Andrew Lloyd Webber; and, posthumously, the late playwright/actor Charles Ludlum. The Annual Theatre Hall of Fame ceremony, now in its 39th year, will be held Jan. 25, 2010, in the Gershwin Theatre's North Rotunda. Terry Hodge Taylor is producing the event.
