BBBay Presents AN EVENING WITH LUCIE ARNAZ Benefit Concert

BROADAWAY BY THE BAY (BBBay), the Peninsula's premiere musical theatre company, is proud to present 'An Evening with Lucie Arnaz,' a benefit concert for Broadway By the Bay, on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City. Tickets range in price from $150 - $200 and are on-sale now at the Broadway By the Bay box office (600 N. Delaware Ave., San Mateo), by phone at 650-579-5565 or online at broadwaybythebay.org. 'We are honored and thrilled that Ms. Arnaz will be lending her support to raise funds for the many programs offered by Broadway By the Bay,' said Executive Director Jim Gardia.

Bichir, who is currently starring as Mary Louise-Parker's love interest on Showtime's Weeds, will play the role of Arturo, a Cuban immigrant who is hired to (coincidentally) weed the garden of unconventional Austin widow Catherine. Cochran, who will star as Catherine, is straight from Chicago where she starred in sold out performances of The Lion in Winter at the Writers Theatre.

The reading will star Tony Awardâ winner Brian Bedford as 'Addison DeWitt,' Tony Awardâ nominee Peter Gallagher as 'Bill,' four time Tony Awardâ winner Angela Lansbury as 'Birdie,' Tony Awardâ winner Cynthia Nixon as 'Karen,' and Emmy Awardâ nominee John Slattery as 'Lloyd.' As previously announced, Golden Globeâ Award-winning actress Annette Bening will star as 'Margo Channing.'

Annette Bening to Star in 'All About Eve' Reading to Benefit Actors Fund 11/10

The Actors Fund will present an all-star reading of ALL ABOUT EVE, the classic backstage drama that is one of the most entertaining and witty films of all time. Leading the all-star cast will be award-winning actress Annette Bening (The Women, Running with Scissors, American Beauty) as Margo Channing. ALL ABOUT EVE will be presented Monday, November 10 at 7:30pm at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre (230 West 49th Street).

Jonathan Pryce to Star in Revival of 'Dimetos' at Donmar Warehouse This Spring

What's on Stage is reporting that actor Jonathan Pryce will be starring in a revival of Athol Fugard's Dimetos this upcoming Spring. The show will run as part of Donmar Warehouse's season from March 25h, 2008 to May 9th, 2009. The production will be directed by Donmar Associate Director Douglas Hodge.

Daniels and York To Star In Tune's 'Century' At Goodman

Variety.com is reporting that actor Jeff Daniels and actress Rachel York will be starring in Tommy Tune's 'Turn of the Century' scheduled to run at the Goodman theater in Chicago this fall. The musical is being produced by the duo that brought Jersey Boys to the stage, Michael Brickman and Rick Elice.
