The Civilians' Spring Benefit, 'There's No Place Like Home' will be held Friday, April 17th at Galapagos Art Space, DUMBO, Brooklyn This year's benefit follows the themes of home and community that The Civilians have been exploring in recent projects such as Brooklyn at Eye Level and This Beautiful City.
On Monday, April 13, 2009, The 24 Hour Company will team with the Exchange to produce The 24 Hour Musicals at The Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd Street, between Park and Lexington Aves). Presented in association with New York Magazine, four brand new musicals will be written, cast, rehearsed and performed in a single day, featuring an star-studded line up of Broadway performers, composers, writers, directors, choreographers and musical directors.

South Ark Stage (Rhoda Herrick, Producing Artistic Director) has announced it will present the Off-Broadway revival of the comedy Sophistry by Jonathan Marc Sherman (Things We Want). Under the direction of James Warwick, the eight-member cast features Michael Carbonaro as Jack, and Jonathan Hogan as Whitey, with Ian Alda, Ellen Dolan, Charlie Hewson, Mahira Kakkar, Natalie Knepp and Maximilian Osinski.

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director DAVID SAINT will direct a starry cast comprised of WALTER BELENKY, KEITH CARRADINE, PETER FRECHETTE, MARLO THOMAS and NATASHA GREGSON WAGNER. When first presented in 1992, the play won the OBIE Award for Best New American Play, was nominated for a Drama Desk, and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. George Street Playhouse Artistic Director will helm the production, slated to run at the New Brunswick theatre January2020 - February 15, 2009.
