Soundstreams continues its 2014/2015 season with an evening celebrating the life and music of British composer Sir John Tavener at Trinity-St. Paul's Centre tonight, April 16, 2015 at 8:00 pm.
Susanna Mälkki will make her New York Philharmonic debut conducting Brahms's Variations on a Theme by Haydn; Harvey's Tranquil Abiding; and Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1, with Jonathan Biss as soloist. The concerts take place Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m.; and Saturday, May 23 at 8:00 p.m.
Full casting is announced today for Closer to Heaven, a musical by Jonathan Harvey and the Pet Shop Boys, which will receive its first London revival at the Union Theatre from Wednesday 22 April 2015, with a press night on Tuesday 28 April.
ECCE Ensemble closes its 2014-15 concert season with an event featuring works by a fascinating mix of renowned composers, including pieces from its latest CD, 'Chamber Industrial' the first all-Per Bloland works recording. Following a sell-out run at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury "CALAMITY JANE" has embarked on a national UK tour coming to the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 16 until Saturday 20 June 2015. "CALAMITY JANE" stars Jodie Prenger in the title role, Tom Lister as 'Wild Bill Hickok, Alex Hammond as 'Danny' and Phoebe Street as Katie Brown.
