Southport Ave., announced today that the acclaimed Route 66 Theatre Company's production of A TWIST OF WATER, which has enjoyed a sold out run at Theater Wit, will transfer to the Mercury Theater previewing April 14, re-opening May 1 for a limited engagement through June 5th.

The Mercy Seat - Vs. Theatre Company presents the Los Angeles premiere of Neil LaBute's scathing, trenchant and caustically funny examination of opportunism in the face of tragedy. Set on September 12, 2001, less than twenty-four hours after terrorists brought down the World Trade Center, The Mercy Seat introduces us to lovers Ben and Abby. Ben was supposed to have been working in the Twin Towers on that fateful day; but was playing hooky with Abby, his mistress and boss. Suddenly the two see a new possibility for their future that didn't exist just a day earlier. Will Ben let his family know he's alive?

Route 66 Theatre Company presents the second production of its 2010-2011 season with the world premiere of A Twist of Water, by Caitlin Montanye Parrish, co-created with and directed by Erica Weiss. A Twist of Water features Route 66 Artistic Director Stef Tovar, with Falashay Pearson, Alex Hugh Brown and Lili-Anne Brown. A Twist of Water closes March 20, 2011 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.
