Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company, today announced that due to popular demand‚ the critically acclaimed production of Glengarry Glen Ross currently on stage will be extended to June 12, 2010. Four performances have been added: Monday June 7th at 7:30 pm, Wednesday June 9 at 7:30pm and Saturday June 12 at 1:30pm and 7:30pm.

The Boston Pops' 125th season opened on May 4 with a gala concert featuring multiple Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel and the inimitable Doc Severinsen. During the season, the Pops will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular radio and TV show 'From the Top,' focus on esteemed artists from the fields of jazz, musical theater, and pop, including Dave Brubeck, Kelli O'Hara, and Maureen McGovern, and honor the legacies of such musical titans as Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, and Rodgers and Hammerstein. Daniel Bernard Roumain, who in concert melds his classical music roots with his own Haitian-American cultural references and vibrant musical imagination, and Ozomatli, the multi-Grammy award-winning, genre-defying sensation, join the orchestra for programs that continue the Pops tradition of focusing on the best and brightest new talent on the musical scene today. Cherry Jones, who can currently be seen in the hit TV show 24 as President Allison Taylor, has appeared in Oceans Twelve, The Village, Signs, and Cradle Will Rock, and in guest appearances on television shows including 'The West Wing' and 'Frasier.' Ms. Jones won Tony awards in 1995 for her leading role in The Heiress and in 2005 for her leading role in Doubt, and won an Emmy award in 2009 for her role in 24. The Boston Pops world premiere of The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers, which will take place at Boston's Symphony Hall on May 18 and 19, is set to receive a live audio recording for later release. In the past 125 years, plenty of things have come and gone in our society. Horse and buggy rides used to be a common mode of transportation but are now relegated to being novelties that tourists indulge in. Women no longer lace themselves into corsets, and men no longer Brilliantine their hair. Black vinyl records now exist solely on the shelves of collectors, and if one were to order a strawberry phosphate at the local luncheonette, he or she would be greeted by a look of utter confusion on the other side of the counter. However, the Boston Pops Orchestra, founded in 1885 is still performing on tour and in Boston's beautiful Symphony Hall. According to some mavens, it's an orchestra that has truly improved with age.

Soulpepper is bringing back last year's smash hit production of Glengarry Glen Ross starting tomorrow, April 22nd.
