Anne-Sophie Mutter Embarks on North American Recital Tour

-Anne-Sophie Mutter, one of the world's greatest and most beloved classical artists, embarks on a six-city North American recital tour playing the works of Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart, Poulenc and Ravel, and a new work by Sebastian Currier, March 6 through 17, 2019. Mutter will be joined by her longtime collaborator pianist Lambert Orkis for all six recital appearances. On March 12, Mutter will return to Carnegie Hall for her only 2018-19 season appearance in New York, performing the world premiere of Sebastian Currier's new Ghost Trio for Piano Trio, followed by the Chicago premiere of the work on March 17. Ghost Trio is the fourth work by Sebastian Currier that Mutter has both commissioned and premiered. Later this season, Mutter will play Mozart Violin Concertos with the Chamber Orchestra Vienna-Berlin on a tour of Europe and in Costa Mesa, California, followed by two special concerts at the Tanglewood Festival featuring works by Andre Previn and John Williams in July.

Nashville Symphony Announces 2019/20 Season

The Nashville Symphony has announced the lineup for its 2019/20 season, which kicks off in September and features an extensive variety of classical, pops, jazz and family concerts, including top-flight guest artists, film favorites with live orchestral accompaniment, unique speaker events and much more. At the heart of this concert programming, Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero will lead the orchestra in its flagship Classical Series, which includes everything from masterworks by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Berlioz and Beethoven to boundary-pushing contemporary American works.

Utah Symphony Announces 2019-20 Season

Music Director Thierry Fischer and President & CEO Paul Meecham today announced the Utah Symphony's 2019-20 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Dor Eccles Foundation, with highlights including multi-media concert experiences featuring the twelve movements from Olivier Messiaen's Des canyons aux toiles ( From the canyons to the stars ), a celebration of Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020 and a gala concert featuring violin virtuoso Joshua Bell to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Utah Symphony's first-ever performance, which took place on May 8, 1940. American composer Andrew Norman returns to present three of his orchestral works and work with young musicians in Utah for his second year as Composer-in-Association, and during fall 2020, the Utah Symphony pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage with Disney's Coco in concert and several programs featuring music by Latin-American composers led by Carlos Miguel Prieto. In addition to the eighteen weekends of performances of the Masterworks Series, the details for the 2019-20 Entertainment Series, Family Series, UNWOUND concerts, and many special events were released. South Dakota Symphony Presents JURASSIC PARK LIVE IN CONCERT

Welcome to Jurassic Park! The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra (SDSO) brings Steven Spielberg's thrilling science fiction adventure film on a large screen with live orchestra to the Washington Pavilion, Saturday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 10 at 2:30 p.m.

Memphis Symphony Orchestra Performs David Porter Tribute Concert

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra (MSO) proudly announces a world-class musical tribute to Stax legend and Hall of Fame Songwriter, David Porter, at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at 7:30pm. The tribute is set to be conducted by Music Director, Robert Moody.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale - the country's preeminent professional choir and choir-in-residence at Walt Disney Concert Hall - will reveal a new collaboration with acclaimed artist and filmmaker Doug Aitken at GALA 2019 on Saturday, March 23. THE CRYSTAL METHOD Announces 2019 Tour Dates

Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild Donates $20,000 to the Orchestra Fundraising Efforts

On behalf of The Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild, Shirley Kramer, Guild president, presented a check for $20,000 to the Las Vegas Philharmonic before its sold-out performance of The Music of John Williams on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Lacey Huszcza, Las Vegas Philharmonic's recently appointed executive director accepted the donation on behalf of the orchestra.

Zubin Mehta Bows Out of Concert Series with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Due To Health Issues

The American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra today announced that Maestro Zubin Mehta has been forced to bow out of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra's upcoming 2019 U.S. Tour (Feb. 2-9) due to health reasons. Filling in for Mehta on the six-city tour is Yoel Levi, one of the world's leading conductors, known for his vast repertoire, masterly interpretations and electrifying performances.
