The Bijou Theatre presents their second main stage production, Stephen Sondheim's Assassins! Shows run for two weekends, November - the 7th & 8th at 8pm, the 14th at 8pm, the 15th at 3pm & 8pm, and the 16th at 5pm.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, The Public Theater's production of the Award-winning American musical Fun Home, following its sold-out, critically acclaimed world premiere, will receive a much-anticipated Broadway premiere this spring. Now according to the New York Times, Michael Cerveris will reprise his role in the show when it returns next year. Additional casting has not yet been announced.

Broadway favorite Aaron Tveit will make his UK stage debut as 'John Wilkes Booth', alongside Carly Bawden as Squeaky Fromme, Simon Lipkin as The Proprietor, Mike McShane as Samuel Byck, Andy Nyman as Charles Guiteau, David Roberts as Czolgosz and Catherine Tate as Sara Jane Moore. Despite all of its violence and disturbing themes, Director Jim Petosa and company find the humor in ASSASSINS and are able to make the characters come alive as people with flaws, rather than monsters. In the controversial Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman musical, the cure for what ails them is to kill a President and the 1991 show strikes a chord in our gun-happy culture. A terrific lineup of voices handles the Sondheim score with aplomb.

Joining Carly Bawden, Simon Lipkin, Mike McShane, Andy Nyman, David Roberts and Catherine Tate are Stewart Clarke, Harry Morrison, Aaron Tveit and Jamie Parker. The production opens on 1 December 2014, with previews from 21 November, and runs until 7 March 2015.

Ford's Theatre Society announced that a hallmark museum exhibition, Silent Witnesses: Artifacts of the Lincoln Assassination, will return a priceless collection of items that were in the Theatre or carried by Abraham Lincoln the night of his assassination to the Center for Education and Leadership (514 Tenth Street, NW), March 23 to May 25, 2015. The exhibition will coincide with the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's assassination and death on April 14 and 15, 2015.

Step into the dawning of the Age of Aquarius with Hair now playing at the Barn Players in Mission, Kan. The musical with book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, and music by Galt MacDermot opened Friday September 19 and runs through October 5. The original rock musical opened Off-Broadway in 1967 at the Joseph Papp's Public Theater and in 1968 opened on Broadway running for 1,750 performances.
