The Fulton Theatre to Launch 166th Season with THE ADDAMS FAMILY

The Fulton Theatre kicks off its 166th season, in deliciously ghoulish fashion, with the creepy, kooky hit THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Gomez, Morticia, and their family of misfits, prove that you can pick everything but your family...THAT you're born with.

Tennessee Shakespeare Festival Actors Set for Reading of NO KIN TO ELIVS Tonight

Tennessee Shakespeare Festival actors, under the direction of Lane Davies, will perform a reading of No Kin to Elvis, a play adapted from the book of the same name. The story is set 1957 in the fictitous town of Marlburn, Georgia, a small community situated in the heart of a burgeoning carpet industry, still enjoying a postwar boom. Emmer Lee Prestely, a young woman transplanted from the mountains of North Carolina, must fight to save her humble home from the local mafia after her husband Elzo loses a bet on the '57 World Series to their book. Elzo goes missing in a boating accident after the Series, so Emmer is forced to join forces with her estranged bootlegging daddy Bus Prestley to stave off eviction from her home.

Rachel Rosenthal Company's INSTANT FAIR TALES Adds 2/8-9 Shows

The Rachel Rosenthal Company (RRC) presents Instant Fairy Tales, a brand new series of original fairy tales for the 21st century at Espace DbD in Los Angeles. Instant Fairy Tales: The Longest Winter, the series' inaugural offering, which features an allegorical tale about learning to care for the environment, will be held on Saturdays, January 25 and February 8, as well as Sundays, January 26 and February 9, 2014. The performances, by Rachel Rosenthal Company's TOHUBOHU! Extreme Theatre Ensemble, begin at 4:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturdays, as well as at 2:00pm and 5:00pm on Sundays. Instant Fairy Tales are particularly well suited for children and families. Seating in the intimate performance space is limited to 35 patrons per show. Tickets cost $5. Reservations are necessary to insure seats and can be made online via Brown Paper Tickets at instantfairytales.brownpapertickets.com. Rachel Rosenthal Company's Instant Fairy Tales, the latest offering in Rachel Rosenthal's remarkable career, is a brand new quarterly series of original fairy tales for the 21st century. Instant Fairy Tales: The Longest Winter, the series' inaugural offering on January 25th and 26th at Espace DbD in Los Angeles, features an allegorical tale about learning to care for the environment. This first quarterly installment features costumes and sets in a visual style based on the 'ukiyo-e' woodcuts of Hokusai and Hiroshige, which depict the Japanese 'floating world' of the theatre, restaurants, teahouses, geisha, and the natural world.?

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Announces New Members

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Board Chair Jim Abrahamson and President Stanley E. Romanstein, Ph.D., recently welcomed six new members to the Orchestra's Board of Directors: Neil Berman, S. Wright Caughman, M.D., Carlos del Rio, M.D., Jim Landon, Kelly L. Loeffler, and Paul Snyder. The new Board members will serve three-year terms.
