Rich Little Shares 'Little by Little (People I've Known and Been)'

Growing up in Canada in the 1950s, Rich Little never dreamed that he would eventually turn his love of movies and storytelling into a career in show business. His ability to impersonate celebrities led to a career that has lasted more than five decades, and he continues to perform. He describes how he got into show business and shares stories about the many people he impersonated along the way in a new book released by Dog Ear Publishing. Relayed as if it's just a story, 'Little by Little (People I've Known and Been)' shares Little's early days from imitating his teachers as a teenager to a successful record spoofing Canada's prime minister to hit shows in Vegas and everything in between. One highlight was his appearance on 'The Judy Garland Show,' his second U.S. television appearance. Little went on to work with - and imitate - hundreds of celebrities. A short list of stars appearing in his behind-the-scenes stories includes George Burns, Bing Crosby, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Benny, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Burt Lancaster, Ed Sullivan, Carol Channing, Howard Cosell, Paul Lynde and Orson Welles. Politicians also weren't immune from his act: George H.W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton all have been immortalized by his impressions. Little also shares memories of his loving family both growing up and his wives, children and grandchildren. Dozens of photos with celebrity friends and colleagues as well as family shots complete this compelling look at Little's incredible career and passion. This is the first book for Little, known as the 'Man of 200 Voices,' who has appeared on television and stage for more than five decades and is one of only a few entertainers to have stars on all four Walks of Fame: Hollywood, Las Vegas, Canada and Palm Springs, Calif. Rich, who was born in Ottawa, Canada, is performing 'Rich Little Live!' in Las Vegas and touring around the country. Little also is launching his new self-written show 'Little by Little,' which takes the audience on a trip down memory lane - a show he hopes to take to Broadway.
