STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), the critically acclaimed weekly performing arts radio series which previously, since its May 31, 2010 premiere, aired live on Mondays from 4:00 - 4:50 pm PST on the LATalkRadio.com Network, is moving its weekly broadcast to Thursdays beginning Thursday, July 19, 2012, it was announced today by State of the Arts co-producer/co-hosts and theatre professionals MICHAEL STERLING & PAUL STROILI. Guests on July 19 will include TV, Broadway star and Tony Award nominee CHRISTOPHER SIEBER (Shrek The Musical, and co-star with George Hamilton in the U.S. National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles; and Film and Television star ESAI MORALES (La Bamba, NYPD Blue, Caprica - Syfy TV's prequel to the series Battlestar Galactica).

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, led by Producing Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, has announced its 2012-13 Season featuring six masterworks linked by spiritual, physical and emotional journeys. Presented during the second season in the company's new 33,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Pasadena venue are Shakespeare's CYMBELINE, George Bernard Shaw's THE DOCTOR'S DILEMMA, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL adapted by Geoff Elliott, John Steinbeck's THE GRAPES OF WRATH adapted by Frank Galati, EURYDICE by Sarah Ruhl, and George Farquhar's THE BEAUX' STRATAGEM adapted by Thornton Wilder and Ken Ludwig. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment previously announced the Blu-ray debut of two classic films from its catalog, THE GRAPES OF WRATH and ZORBA THE GREEK, featuring Oscar-nominated performances by Henry Fonda and Anthony Quinn. The films are available on Blu-ray at retailers nationwide as of today, June 5.

There comes a moment late in Act Two when Tevye, the beleaguered dairyman at the center of Fiddler on the Roof, remembers his daughters in childhood and laments the loss of his beloved "Chavaleh" to marriage to a gentile, which completely encapsulates the joy and the sadness that permeates this classic work of the musical theater. Derek Whittaker, playing the role of a lifetime as he leads the cast of Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre's new production of the Jerry Bock/Sheldon Harnick/Joseph Stein musical, is at his best in this scene, artfully blending his finely honed comic sensibilities with a genuine pathos that creates a heart-tugging moment that is genuinely effective.

Travis Brazil directs as Boiler Room Theatre continues its 12th season with John Steinbeck's classic drama Of Mice and Men, starrng Ross Bolen and John Mauldin, opening Friday April 13, at the theatre's venue in the historic Factory at Franklin, for a run that continues through May 5.

The performance of the classic story follows the partnering organizations highly successful production ofTo Kill A Mockingbird which played at the Gallo Center in the 2010/2011 season.

Laura Osnes stars as Suzy in the New York City Center Encores! production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Pipe Dream running through April 1. Pipe Dream is directed by Marc Bruni with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Kelli Barclay, and plays for seven performances at New York City Center, West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. The Encores! presentation marks the first time the musical will be seen on the New York stage since the original production closed in June 1956.
