To mark the the 20th Anniversary of both Word for Word and Z Space, the Word for Word Charter Members present 'In Friendship: Stories by Zona Gale', opening with a press night on Saturday August 17, 8pm and running through September 8 (previews today, August 14 -16) at Z Space's new second venue, Z Below, at 470 Florida Street.

On Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24, WINSOR! A FEISTY CABARET, will be produced by The Musical Theatre Project and performed at the Studio Theater in the Beck Center for the Arts. The cabaret, with the performers seated on stools, will star Scott Plate and be directed by Victoria Bussert. The topic of the cabaret will be Winsor French.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced Fasten Your Seatbelts (Part 2): 20th Century Fox (today, August 9-15), a summertime big screen showcase of some of the movie studio's most beloved and unforgettable films. Presented via DCP restorations and beautiful studio library 35mm prints, with a focus on a single artist and their creative contribution to each film, Fasten Your Seatbelts is sure to be a truly rare movie-going event. In the summer of 2010, FSLC presented the first Fasten Your Seatbelts series to coincide with and celebrate 20th Century Fox's 75th Anniversary. The popularity of that series, including screenings of classics like ALL ABOUT EVE, M*A*S*H and ALIEN all but demanded that Film Society and the studio present a 'sequel' at some point.

Trinity Repertory Company, the State Theater of Rhode Island is proud to announce that three new company members have been added to their resident acting company roster - Mia Ellis, Rebecca Gibel and Charlie Thurston. All three performers are Brown/Trinity Rep MFA acting program graduates and no strangers to the Trinity Rep stage, having appeared in multiple productions over the past several seasons. The OC performance of Garden will be held today, June 16 at 2pm in the Dowling Theater followed by the OC performance of House on Sunday, June 30 at 2pm, Chace Theater. This state-of-the-art technology allows Trinity Rep to continue in its mission of providing theater access to a wider community by making performances accessible to patrons with hearing loss.

Tony Award-winning Trinity Repertory Company, under the leadership of The Richard L. Bready Artistic Director Curt Columbus and Executive Director Michael Gennaro is thrilled to announce that they have been named the State Theater of Rhode Island. The bill, introduced by House Speaker Gordon Fox (D), and Senator Maryellen Goodwin (D) officially passed Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Columbus, Gennaro, members of the acting company and board of directors accepted the honor on the floor of the Statehouse.

Tom Butterworth of New Canaan has reinvented himself as an actor after 20 years as a lawyer then business consultant and his next stage appearance is in Shakespeare on the Sound's production of 'As You Like It' June 13-30 in Rowayton's Pinkney Park.

The Sherman Chamber Ensemble is pleased to announce its 2013 summer songwriting and musical theater camps. Taking place June 24th through June 28th at the Pawling Middle School and July 8th through 12th under the auspices of the New Fairfield Parks and Recreation Summer Camp, these hands-on creative workshops are open to students ages 10 through 15. All levels of musical ability are welcome, and students do not need to play an instrument in order to participate in this program. Registration is open to young people from Pawling, New Fairfield, Sherman and any other town, including summer visitors to the region.
