Disney's THE LION KING will roar into Melbourne's Regent Theatre with preview performances of the award-winning Broadway musical beginning 13th February, 2015.

Disney's THE LION KING set a record for the highest-grossing week in Milwaukee theatrical history with a gross of $1,687,572.60 at The Milwaukee Theatre for the week ending November 30, 2014. This breaks the previous record of $1.6 million set by THE LION KING during its premiere engagement for the week ending March 2, 2008. This four-week return, which concluded on Sunday, December 7, entertained more than 94,000 patrons during 32 performances and generated over $6 million at the box office during the entire run. Group Sales contributed $1,288,500 of the $6 million generated and surpassed the amount generated by groups during the last engagement of THE LION KING.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway in Cincinnati announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Friday, December 5 at 9AM. Cincinnati's most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the Aronoff Center stage on March 31 for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, April 26. The show's 8-week premiere engagement in 2003 played a sold-out run at the Aronoff Center.

In Milwaukee, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. There will be special weekday matinee performances on Friday, November 28 at 2:00 pm and Thursday, December 4 at 2:00 pm. There will not be a performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). The show's five-week premiere engagement in 2008 played a sold-out run at the Milwaukee Theatre. 'Thus far sales have exceeded our expectations for the return of Lion King in Milwaukee, but there are still great seats available,' said Paul Mathews, President and CEO of the Marcus Center.

Disney's THE LION KING celebrates two anniversaries among its 10 productions worldwide. The London production marks its 15th anniversary on Sunday, October 19th at The Lyceum Theatre. The award-winning musical has entertained over 12 million theatregoers and remains the West End's best-selling stage production. THE LION KING Broadway cast member ALTON FITZGERALD WHITE will play his 4,000th performance as Mufasa in the landmark musical event this Saturday evening, August 23rd, 2014. White originated the role of Mufasa in the US touring production in 2002 and in a sit-down Las Vegas production in 2009, in addition to leading the flagship Broadway company intermittently since.

Disney's THE LION KING continues to reign across North America with a sold-out engagement in Toronto, which concluded on Sunday, June 15 at The Princess of Wales Theatre. The triumphant seven-week return grossed over $11.75 million at the box office and entertained more than 100,000 patrons during 56 performances. The award-winning musical premiered in Toronto in April 2000 at the Princes of Wales Theatre, where it played 1,560 performances through January 2004 and returned in 2011 for an eight-week sold-out engagement.

Disney Theatrical Productions celebrates the announcement of two world premiere productions of THE LION KING at Shanghai Disney Resort and Mexico City, in partnership with Disney Parks and Resorts and OCESA, respectively. The announcement was made today by Thomas Schumacher, president and producer, Disney Theatrical Productions. The two productions will be the 23rd and 24th mounted around the world since the show's Broadway debut in 1997.
