Kara Boyer Stars in A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE at Totem Pole Playhouse, Now thru 6/23

It may not be a 45 on AM radio or a Wurlitzer, but even in today's digital world, the music and story of a girl from Winchester, Virginia who came to be known as Patsy Cline resonate with generations of musicians and fans. The impact of Patsy Cline's story and music, the last of which was recorded a half-century ago, was seen when Totem Pole Playhouse was casting musicians for its production of A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, running tonight, June 11 through 23.

Totem Pole Playhouse Features Emmy Winner in SIMPLY: SALLY STRUTHERS, Now thru 5/12

Audiences don't want to miss this rare experience to spend an evening with one of America's favorite stars, Sally Struthers. Struthers will appear at the playhouse in SIMPLY: SALLY STRUTHERS, an intimate evening with the Emmy-winning actress...in words, song stories and laughter. Struthers will perform May 8th through May 12, 2013 and is limited to just under 2,000 tickets.

Playwright, actor and Drama Critics Circle Award-winner Tom Dugan will present 'Wiesenthal,' updated from his play 'Nazi Hunter - Simon Wiesenthal,' featuring a newly premiered title and recently discovered details of Wiesenthal's important work, at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center at 3385 NE 188th Street in Aventura, Florida from tonight, March 13-17, 2013.

Rubicon Theatre Company previously announced that Catherine Borek, star of the documentary 'OT: OUR TOWN,' will join director Scott Hamilton Kennedy and representatives from Rubicon's cast of Our Town, for a panel discussion following the 6:00 p.m. screening of the award-winning film today, March 4, at the Century 10 Downtown Theatre, 555 E. Main Street.

History Takes the Stage in Gettysburg with THE ROAD FROM APPOMATTOX, 7/10

As the commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War continues, 2013 is especially important to the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania as this July marks 150 years since the Battle of Gettysburg, often considered the turning point in the Civil War. Totem Pole Playhouse Reflects on Three Decades of Dedication as Sue McMurtray Retires

Sometimes the career you end up with is quite different from what you originally intended. Such is the case with Sue McMurtray. Although a career in show business was not one of her original intentions, McMurtray is retiring as Managing/Marketing Director at South Central Pennsylvania's famous Totem Pole Playhouse, after 28 years. Before McMurtray became a fixture at the summer theater she attended nursing school, became an x-ray technician and eventually ran the historic Penn National Inn, located nearby the Totem Pole Playhouse, between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
