Mint Theater's EnrichMINT Events Series Begins 8/22

Sheedy, Graynor, & More Announced For Public Theater's Summer Play Festival 7/7-8/2

The Summer Play Festival (SPF) announces casting for the eagerly anticipated 2009 Festival in New York City. Casts include stage and screen actress Ally Sheedy; Ari Graynor, recently seen in NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLST; Maulik Pancholy, regular on the Showtime hit WEEDS and NBC's 30 ROCK; Katherine Waterston, who broke out in THE BABYSITTERS; Aya Cash, recently seen in Manhattan Theater Club's FROM UP HERE; and Eddie Kay Thomas, from the AMERICAN PIE movie series.

Nick Gaswirth Replaces Bobby Steggert As 'Brom Broeck' In KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY 6/26-28

Nick Gaswirth ('Harpo Marx' in last season's Musicals in Mufti Minnie's Boys) will replace Bobby Steggert in the role of Brom Broeck in this weekend's concert presentation of KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY by the York Theatre Company. Mr. Steggert had to leave unexpectedly due to a family emergency. Also, Ric Stoneback (1776, Paper Mill) has replaced John O'Creagh.

'1776' Opens at the Paper Mill Playhouse 4/19

Paper Mill Playhouse's 1776, Directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, will run at the Millburn theatre from April 15 through May 17, 2009. 1776 was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts. The production officially opens tonight, Sunday, April 19th.

'The Road to Ruin' to Run Sept, 18th- Oct. 1st

New York Musical Theater Festival will present the World Premiere of THE ROAD TO RUIN. This new musical comedy is based on the 1928 silent movie of the same name, a cult favorite on par with Reefer Madness and Cocaine Fiends. With book, music and lyrics by William Zeffiro, the production is directed by Mary Catherine Burke with choreography by Sea Sullivan and music direction by David Cladwell. Performances begin September 18 at The 45th Street Theater.
