On the day that Americans are celebrating our country's independence with barbeque, fireworks, parties and music, MTV, CMT and VH1 for the first time will celebrate 'Music Independence Day' on-air by combining forces to showcase artists across all three powerhouse brands.
VH1 and Palladia are celebrating Independence Day with fireworks and four-time Grammy award-winning band, The Roots for the third annual Philly 4th of July Jam. Kicking off in the City of Brotherly Love, The Philly 4 th of July Jam, a signature event of the Wawa Welcome America! festival, will be simulcast on VH1 and Palladia tonight, July 4 from 8-11PM ET and live streamed on VH1.com. Hometown favorites The Roots, serve as the house band with this year's lineup, including: John Mayer, Jill Scott, Demi Lovato, Ne-Yo, Grace Potter and J. Cole. Capping off the musical event, the evening will include a spectacular fireworks display over the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art.
For its inaugural production Katrina Rouge Productions will present the world premiere of Day and Night by local playwright Chris Morris. This play was given a staged reading in 2009 at MadLab Theatre here in Columbus Ohio, but this will be the first full production given to this work. Day and Night will be performed, at 8:00, Thursdays-Saturdays, September 19-21 and September 26-28 at MadLab, 227 N. 3rd St. Columbus, OH.
