Classic Stage Company presents the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's ORLANDO, adapted from the work of Virgina Woolf and directed by Rebecca Taichman. Performances begin September 8, 2010.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces a call for nominations for the second-annual Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes an outstanding director or choreographer making an exceptional contribution to the national arts landscape through theatre work in America.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its popular annual summer tradition of family theatre under the stars with a new translation/adaptation of Carlo Goldoni's comedy The Servant of Two Masters. Performances begin on June 23 and continue through August 1. Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays at 8:15pm at the outdoor amphitheatre on the campus of the College of St. Elizabeth, 2 Convent Road in Morris Township.

Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave will return to the New York stage this Fall to star opposite one another in the Broadway Premiere of Alfred Uhry‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy will begin performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), with an official opening on Monday, October 25, 2010.

Vital Theatre Company has extended the production 'ISABELLE AND THE PRETTY-UGLY SPELL,' with music and lyrics by Steven Fisher, book by Joan Ross Sorkin and Steven Fisher and directed by Vic DiMonda, through June 27th at 45 Bleecker Street. Variety reports that Michael Urie has joined the cast of 'The Decoy Bride,' which begins a five-week shoot on Scotland's Isle of Man tomorrow, June 26. The film was written by Neil Jaworski and Sally Phillips, and will be directed by Sheree Folkson. Other cast members include Federico Castelluccio, David Tennant, Kelly MacDonald, and Alice Eve. The film is reported to center on the marriage of an author and film star who escape to an island for some comedic entanglement. Ecosse Films' Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae will produce the film with Paul Ritchie.
