Sixteen years after opening the Northwest office of what is now Broadway Across America - Seattle, Drew Murphy returns to Seattle as Vice President, Broadway Across America, West Coast, directing business for the Broadway series in Seattle, Portland, OR and Costa Mesa, CA. Before assuming this position, Mr. Murphy served as President of Broadway Across America - Boston, where he programmed more than 15 weeks of productions each year and oversaw operations of three major theatres, including the Boston Opera House.

The Irish Repertory Theatre announces the extension of its hit revival THE IRISH...AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt ('Angela's Ashes') Directed by Charlotte Moore, who helmed the recent Broadway concert version of BRIGADOON.

Tony Award Winner, Emmy Award Winner and Oscar Nominee Laurence Fishburne transforms into Thurgood Marshall to tell the triumphant story of how a boy from the backstreets of Baltimore changed history. Written by George Stevens Jr and helmed by Leonard Foglia, Thurgood plays at the Geffen Playhouse from June 27 to August 8, 2010, with an opening night of July 7.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company led by Co-Founders/Co-Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, announces its 2010-11 season featuring seven productions. The season, ANW's 19th and last in its current Glendale location before moving in Fall 2011 to a spectacular new Pasadena venue, concludes with three retrospective evenings of the company's many years in Glendale.

The Utah Shakespearean Festival's New American Playwrights Project (NAPP) will present three exciting new works by three contemporary American playwrights. Staged readings of the plays will be presented from Aug. 5 through 27 at 10 a.m., and Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Auditorium Theatre.
