The Martha Graham Dance Company has invited for The University Partners Showcase five universities and one performing arts high along with Graham II school to perform on Wednesday, March 14th, at 7:30pm at the Joyce Theater,175 8th Avenue (at 19th Street) NYC as part of the Company's 86th Anniversary season.

Tracing the development of artistic director Sydney Skybetter's formalism, Brooklyn-based skybetter and associates will perform Near Abroad (2008), The Laws of Falling Bodies (2009), Temporary Matters (2011), Little Boy (2012) and the World Premiere of For Want of Sleep, featuring a commissioned score by composer Sxip Shirey.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2012-2013 theater season. Reaching hundreds of thousands of audience members annually, the theater season features a new Kennedy Center produced production of Ferenc Molnár's The Guardsman; touring productions of The Book of Mormon, War Horse, Anything Goes, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Jekyll & Hyde, and Million Dollar Quartet; and five top-notch Theater Productions from Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as part of Nordic Cool 2013.

The Company has chosen Inner Landscape as the focus for its 2012 season and will present a great range of performances, partnerships and educational activities exploring the psychological aspects of dance.
This March Anthony Kearns with his accompanist, pianist Patrick Healy, performs a series of concerts in six states culminating with a performance at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. Kearns is hailed as the voice of the century and acknowledged by Ireland's Ambassador to the U.S. as Ireland's foremost tenor and a great ambassador for Ireland.
Cast members of the NETworks touring production of "Shrek The Musical" (coming to Detroit February 28 - March 11 at the Fisher Theatre) will perform in a very special concert to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the John F. Representatives from the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and the Appleton Area School District (AASD) have been invited to participate in the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Partners in Education Institute April 25-28. This local partnership between the Fox Cities P.A.C. and AASD is one of 12 partnerships selected from across the nation to participate in the program aimed at creating professional development opportunities that develop teachers' knowledge of the arts and empower them to use the arts in their classrooms.
Coming to the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre direct from Broadway for six weeks only, the Kennedy Center's critically acclaimed Broadway production of James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's "Follies," has now completed casting. "Follies" stars four-time Tony Award nominee Jan Maxwell as Phyllis Rogers Stone, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, two-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein as Buddy Plummer, three-time Emmy Award nominee Ron Raines as Benjamin Stone and Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige as Carlotta Campion. Maxwell, Burstein, Raines and Paige are all returning to the roles they originated on Broadway.
CBS and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announced today a new agreement that will keep the annual KENNEDY CENTER HONORS broadcast on CBS through 2018. The new deal further extends one of the longest broadcast partnerships in television history. The special has been broadcast on CBS each year since its debut in 1978.
