Andrea Marcovicci ? popularly dubbed 'The Queen of Cabaret' ?
celebrated her 60th birthday gala concert this past Saturday, May 16th at 8PM at New York?s The Town Hall. The event coincided with the release of her first-ever 'greatest hits' collection, As Time Goes By: The Best of Andrea Marcovicci on Andreasong, her own label. Appearing in her only Australian performances, musical theatre legend Bernadette Peters will headline the festival, performing in the Festival Theatre on 6 and 7 June.
As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.
