La MaMa and The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews on Wednesday, April 13 for the return engagement of the acclaimed Belarus Free Theatre. The group will perform encore performances of BEING HAROLD PINTER and ZONE OF SILENCE, which were sold-out hits at this year's Under the Radar Festival, as well as the New York premiere of DISCOVER LOVE. The three shows will run in repertory for five weeks only through Sunday, May 15 at La MaMa (66 East 4th Street) with an official press opening on Monday, April 18. The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes), Joe's Pub (Director Shanta Thake), and Joe's Pub, LLC (Managing Director, Partner Kevin Abbott and Designer Serge Becker) announced today that Joe's Pub, a vital part of New York City's cultural landscape, will take a three month hiatus, beginning July 2, to undertake an exciting interior redesign and renovation, spearheaded by original designer and Joe's Pub, LLC partner Serge Becker. Serving more than 100,000 audience members annually, Joe's Pub first opened in 1998 and presents more than 800 performances a year. It will officially reopen on October 1, 2011 with the same dedication to diverse programming, affordable ticket prices, full bar and dinner service, and an improved seating and stage design. Joe's Pub will remain open until Friday, July 1 with a full performance schedule at www.joespub.com.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews on Friday, March 25 for the world premiere of URGE FOR GOING, written by Mona Mansour and directed by Hal Brooks. The third show in the 2010-2011 Public LAB season, URGE FOR GOING will run Friday, March 25 through Sunday, April 17 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street), with an official press opening on Sunday, April 10. Single tickets are on sale now; all tickets for Public LAB productions are $15.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) announced casting today for the 2011 Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring MEASURE FOR MEASURE, directed by David Esbjornson, and ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, directed by Daniel Sullivan, running in repertory June 6 - July 30 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Bank of America returns as lead sponsor of Shakespeare in the Park 2011, supporting The Public's mission to keep Shakespeare in the Park free.

The first preview of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES has been postponed a day to provide the cast and crew with an additional dress rehearsal. The production will now begin performances on Wednesday, March 23 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street). The production is presented by The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) in association with the Guthrie Theater (Joe Dowling, Director). Michael Greif, who directed the world premiere at the Guthrie in April 2009, directs the New York premiere, which opens on Thursday, May 5 and runs through June 12. The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) announced casting today for the New York premiere of KNICKERBOCKER, written by Jonathan Marc Sherman and directed by Pippin Parker. The final show in the 2010-2011 Public LAB season, KNICKERBOCKER will run Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 29, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 19. Single tickets go on sale on March 30; Public Theater member tickets on sale beginning March 17. All tickets for Public LAB productions are $15.

Five-time Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Terence Blanchard will compose original music for the world premiere on Broadway of THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez.
