FOX Sports added to its already deep MLB lineup, today announcing that former Cy Young Award winner John Smoltz and nationally renowned broadcaster Matt Vasgersian team up to call MLB games on the FOX Broadcast Network and FOX Sports 1. The announcement was made by John Entz, Executive Vice President, Production & Executive Producer, FOX Sports. Smoltz and Vasgersian join the game roster that already includes Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci, reporters Erin Andrews and Ken Rosenthal, and play-by-play announcers Kenny Albert and Thom Brennaman.

FOX Sports today unveiled the broadcast teams for its landmark 20th NFL on FOX season, welcoming new and familiar faces to its talent-ladened roster. The announcement was made by FOX Sports Co-President and COO Eric Shanks and Executive Producer John Entz from the network's annual preseason football broadcast seminar. Regular-season action kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 8, with doubleheader coverage featuring six games beginning at 1:00 PM ET. Game action is preceded by FOX NFL SUNDAY, America's No. 1 pregame show. The season concludes on Sunday, Feb. 2, as FOX broadcasts Super Bowl XLVIII from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. - the biggest, boldest and likely the coldest Super Bowl in television history.

FOX Sports' exclusive coverage of 108th Major League Baseball's World Series begins Wednesday, Oct. 24 (7:30 PM ET), with Game 1 between the American League Champion Detroit Tigers and the National League Champion San Francisco Giants live from AT&T Park in San Francisco. The Tigers have been waiting to find out who they will face in the World Series since sweeping the New York Yankees last Thursday in Detroit. Justin Verlander, the Tigers' well-rested ace takes the mound tomorrow night for Detroit while the Giants, just two days after winning NLCS Game 7 against the Cardinals, call on Barry Zito, to duplicate his commanding NLCS Game 5 performance. This marks the first time these two storied baseball franchises have met in a World Series.
