The world premiere of Randy Newman's 'Harps and Angels' opened at the Center Group/Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center on Sunday, November 21. Performances continue through December 22, 2010.

There was quite an electric, palpable excitement crackling in the huge 3,000-plus-seat Segerstrom Hall on this particular Sunday afternoon. The largest venue within the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, this stage is used to Broadway-caliber talent wowing its audience, since it usually plays host to a revolving door of touring companies performing popular stage musicals. Actors' Equity Association announced today that Charles Randolph-Wright is the recipient of the 2010 Paul Robeson Award. Created in 1974, the Award recognizes a person who best exemplifies the principles by which Mr. Robeson lived. The award will be presented to Mr. Randolph-Wright at the October 8, 2010 General Membership meeting at the Union's headquarters in New York City.

The 2010 Gay Days at Disneyland presented by Undergear are set to take place Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 3. For its 13th year, the event is expected to attract more than 30,000 LGBT park-hoppers from California and all over the country.

Lead producers Margo Lion and Hal Luftig announced today that the new musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will open on Broadway Sunday, April 10, 2011 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced. This new musical, created by a team of Tony winners, features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, choreography by Jerry Mitchell and is directed by Jack O'Brien. Previews begin March 7, 2011. Casting and additional design team will be announced shortly.

Producer Daryl Roth today announced that she will present Through the Night, the acclaimed solo show written and performed by Daniel Beaty, in an extended run Off Broadway, beginning performances September 10 at The Union Square Theatre.
