TVLine reports that the HBO network has set a premiere date for the second season of its hit series GIRLS. The dramedy wil return on Sunday, January 13, at 9/8c on HBO. Broadway vet Patrick Wilson is set to guest star as 'Joshua'.

HBO's new series GIRLS premieres tonight, April 15, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT! The show, created by and starring Lena Dunham ('Tiny Furniture'), takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s. Dunham, Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner executive produce the show, and Bruce Eric Kaplan and Ilene S. Landress co-executive produce.

HBO has picked up the new comedy series GIRLS, created by and starring Lena Dunham ('Tiny Furniture'), it was announced today by Sue Naegle, president, HBO Entertainment. To begin shooting this spring in New York, the show is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s. Dunham wrote and directed the pilot of the series, which she executive produces along with Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner. Ilene S. Landress co-executive produces.
