The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, a blistering comedy battle of wits from Scott Carter, Executive Producer of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, that examines what happens when great men of history are forced to repeat it, comes to the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. During World War Two, the Germans had a dual interest in art. Started in 1998, Spotlight Theatre Company begins its 19th season this August. After beginning in Westminster, they made their home in the quaint 70 seat theatre in the West Colfax E-vents Center located in the heart of Lakewood and in 2008 made the move to Old Towne Lowry to the John Hand Theater in Colorado Free University.

To showcase this iconic Twin Cities music venue, History Theatre is offering an alternative theater experience with their newest production, Complicated Fun: The Minneapolis Music Scene, a dramatization of the underground music scene of the 80s in Minneapolis.

Arizona Theatre Company's 50th anniversary season promises to be its most ambitious ever with a six-show mainstage lineup of the finest contemporary and classic American theatre.  The lineup ranges from the just-closed acclaimed Broadway hits King Charles III and An Act of God, by 13-time Emmy-winning writer and producer of The Daily Show With John Stewart; to the Johnny Cash musical Ring of Fire and an epic revival of the beloved musical about family, faith and tradition, Fiddler on The Roof.

Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the 2016 PTC@Play Festival of New Work celebrating the American playwright in Philadelphia on March 3-6 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre.  The festival will present staged readings showcasing three new plays by national and local talent including new work by Mark St. Germain, Philadelphia playwright Sam Henderson, and playwright/performer Rinne Groff.  A new addition to PTC@Play will be an evening of short plays, all written and rehearsed within one twenty-four hour period.  All events are free.

Provision Theater Company will continue its 12th season with TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom. The play will run tonight, February 10, through March 20.

Asolo Rep continues its 2015-16 season with quintessential American playwright Eugene O'Neill's sentimental comedy AH, WILDERNESS!, directed by Greg Leaming, associate artistic director of Asolo Rep and the director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. The Tony Award, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winner's sole comedy opens tonight, January 22 at 8pm and runs in rotating repertory through Sunday, April 10 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of A Confederacy of Dunces became the highest-grossing show in the company's 33-year history, and according to the Daily News, it might be heading to Broadway next. AN insider revealed: 'The creatives will be fine-tuning the production and hoping for a run either in London or another U.S. city before Broadway next season.'
