by BWW News Desk
- Nov 12, 2013
Being a Keller Williams fan means being ready for anything—trying to guess where this omnivorous artist will head next might be fun but chances are good you won't even come close. In the past three years alone Williams has recorded an album of eclectic cover tunes with the Keels (Thief), a children's record (Kids), the bass-centric and appropriately titled Bass, a bluegrass set with the Travelin' McCourys (Pick) and a Grateful Dead tribute project on which he played piano exclusively (Keys). Add to that a hectic touring schedule that might find him playing with the McCourys, the Keels, with his newest outfit More Than A Little or—as he's done for years—as a solo one-man-band. See a complete fall tour itinerary below, including his just announced a 3-night New Year's Eve run that launches on December 27th at Mr. Smalls in Millvale, PA, hits Beachland Ballroom & Tavern in Cleveland, OH on December 28th, and wraps up on December 31 at Baltimore's Rams Head Live with sets by Keller solo, Keller Williams with More Than A Little, and Keller and the Keels.

BWW Reviews: McArdle Headlines MTW's Fun 'ANNIE' Revival
by Michael L. Quintos
- Nov 8, 2010
There's this old showbiz cliche that says one should never work with kids and/or animals. Well, either species probably never really scared producers from creating ANNIE, the much-beloved musical classic now in production for Musical Theatre West in Long Beach, California through November 14. Here, the kids steal every scene, and the dog... well, how can you not love a musical with a lovable (trained) dog? With famous populist origins and quite a hummable, familiar score, this long-standing musical's saccharine sweet portrayal of pre-Depression era New York City amps up the long-lost American idea of optimism. And, in a bit of inspired stunt casting, Andrea McArdle--who made her Tony-nominated debut in the original 1977 Broadway production as the title role--steps into the role of the wicked Ms. Hannigan for this production.

- Nov 1, 2010
The phenomenally successful 1977 Broadway musical Annie took America by storm and has been filmed twice. After 33 years, and especially now during our country's long bout of economic recession, its Depression era optimism holds up better than ever, and in MTW's current glowing production everything is in place to savor.

Former High School chum and dance partner Annette Bening presented the award in recognition of not only 'Stokes' theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. The gala, which included a memorable performance of 'You Made Me Love You' by Lorna Luft dedicated to the evening's honoree, was produced and written by Marc Cherry and David Rambo.
