The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced continued programming as part of the Artist in Residence initiative at OBERON, its second stage and club-theater venue. This initiative is rooted in A.R.T's mission to expand the boundaries of theater by supporting local and emerging artists. OBERON launched this multi-year program of work and mentorship with three local performance groups: Liars & Believers, Boston Circus Guild, and Touch Performance Art. All three have worked previously in OBERON, creating events in the club theater model and harnessing a new form of theater that is rooted in a social environment.
After a successful launch in Cambridge, a capacity crowd at Boston's Outside the Box 2013 and an acclaimed run in New York last summer, ICARUS flies back to Boston for a two-week run at OBERON. Liars & Believers, a local experimental theatre company and Resident Artists at OBERON, will present its new iteration of this myth May 1-11.

Completing the programming for the 10th annual New York Musical Theatre Festival, NYMF announced several additional concerts, a series of educational workshops, and a "Musicals on Television" screening series in partnership with the Paley Center for Media. 'Veronique is back!' I wrote as I sent my mother a picture of me in a black bob wig. I hadn't worn the thing in 2 years, and I was surprised at how quickly and easily I slipped back in to the slinky character. In fact, I think my voice automatically gets deeper as my hair gets shorter!

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced 10 additional musical productions for their ninth annual festival. These musicals will play alongside the ten Next Link productions made public last month, as well as several productions, special events and concerts to be announced in the coming weeks. This year's Festival will begin July 9th and continue through July 29th.
Liars & Believers (formerly The Performance LAB) presents a world premiere indie rock musical, Song of Songs - a LoveRomp, inspired by the classic text The Song of Songs.
