DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. are pleased to announce that David F. M. Vaughn has recently joined the National Tour of SHREK THE MUSICAL in the role of the vertically challenged villain Lord Farquaad. He is joined by Justin W. Shuffler, who will play the Big Bad Wolf.

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, the upcoming West End production of Shrek will receive many changes before opening at Theatre Royal. The cast will be lead by Nigel Lindsey as Shrek, Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad, Richard Blackwood as Donkey, and Amanda Holden as Princess Fiona.

Haven Burton and two of the cast members from 'Shrek the Musical' performed 'I Know It's Today' on ABC7 in Chicago. Shrek the Musical plays through September 7 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Ruthless! - The Musical may possible headed back to the stage in a new production if a reading, scheduled for September goes well as directed by Jason Moore. A casting call has been issued for the lead role of the 'bad seed' of child-showbiz terror - Tina. As no other parts are available for casting and the week's scheduling workshop is scheduled to begin shortly, one wonders who might already be cast.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced that single tickets for the 2010-11 season will go on sale Sunday, August 8, 2010, for the first six shows of the season, including A Christmas Carol. Family four-packs for Scapin and A Christmas Carol (which provide four tickets at substantial discounts for select performances) will also be available for purchase at that time. Single tickets for the world premiere of the new musical Tales of the City will be available for purchase later in the season. Patrons are encouraged to buy their tickets early to obtain the best seats, as orchestra seats are limited due to heavy demand for subscriber seating. A.C.T. continues to offer one of the best entertainment deals in the Bay Area, with seats available at certain performances for as little as $10. Amanda Holden Cast as 'Fiona' in West End SHREK

UK Daily Mail reports that Amanda Holden, a judge for 'Britain's Got Talent,' has been cast as 'Princess Fiona' in the West End production of SHREK. A contract has yet to be signed, though the casting has been finalized. Rehearsals for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane musical are expected to begin in the spring, with previews beginning in May. Holden previously worked with Rob Ashford on THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.

After just two days of preview performances as the loveable green ogre ‘Shrek' in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Chicagoan Eric Petersen and his wife Lisa Morabito Petersen proudly gave birth to their own beautiful baby. Sophia Marie Petersen, weighing 8 lbs, 7 ounces and 20.5 inches long, was born at 5:12 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial's Prentice Women's Hospital.
