Wendie Malick Leads LA Play Reading of New Circumcision Comedy

The new Stan Zimmerman & Christian McLaughlin play, Knife to the Heart, a comedy about circumcision, will hold a private reading on October 16, 2016, at Los Angeles's Lex Theatre. The cast for the reading will include Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland), Todd Sherry (Parks & Recreation), Katie Walder (How I Met Your Mother), and Josh Zuckerman (Desperate Housewives). Michael Matthews will direct.

Directed by 2013 First Night Most Promising Actor Matthew Hayes Hunter (who may or may not answer to the name of "Matt" these days), the grand-scale production features four of the loveliest, most talented and mesmerizing leading ladies to be found on any stage, anywhere: Ra'Shaun Simon (playing Deena Jones), Brianna Booker (Lorell Robinson), Brittany Easley (Michelle Morris) and Robbyn "Vyrgo" Daniel, who plays the clarion-voiced Effie Melody White, the part made famous on Broadway by Jennifer Holliday.

Award winning film-maker Gary Sinyor has written and will direct his first play,NotMoses, previewing at the Arts Theatre from 10 March 2016, with press night on 15 March 2016.   NotMoses is designed by Carla Goodman with lighting by Humphrey McDermott.

Lifetime is set to premiere the film Stockholm, Pennsylvania (#StockholmPennsylvania) on Saturday, May 2, at 8pm ET/PT. Starring Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Saoirse Ronan (Atonement), Golden Globe nominee and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City), Golden Globe nominee Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, The State Within) and David Warshofsky (The Mentalist), the original movie centers on a young woman, kidnapped as a child, who struggles to readjust to LIFE AFTER being returned home.
