Queen, one of the most dynamic and influential rock bands of all time, will be honoured with the Global Icon Award at the '2011 MTV EMA', MTV announced today. The legendary rock band will also take the stage for a special performance.

American pop star Lady Gaga leads the way with six MTV Europe music award nominations fand will be performing on the awards show taking place next month in Northern Ireland. Singers Bruno Mars and Katy Perry each have four nominations.

The line-up at the '2011 MTV EMA' keeps getting more and more impressive, as MTV today announced that Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars - two of the hottest pop sensations in recent years, and this year's top female and male EMA nominees - will both perform at the show in Belfast.
