The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) recently announced its full lineup of productions, readings, and concerts for NYMF 2015. From today, July 7, to July 27, NYMF 2015 will present almost two dozen productions of new musicals, including the newly announced Passing By and Summer Valley Fair. Florida Studio Theatre announces its annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by contemporary American playwrights. The series will take place in the Keating Theatre on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 2 at 2:00pm, and Saturday, May 9 at 2:00pm, and is part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays. The reading will be directed by Jonathan Sang, with musical direction by Kristen Dziuba, and stage management by Ashley Newman.

Every year, the staff of Florida Studio Theatre appoints one outstanding intern to receive the Daniel R. Mandelker and Marlene N. Harris Scholarship award. This award is given in recognition of their talent, drive, and achievement. FST is proud to announce that the winning plays of the Under Six and Seven Up programs have been selected. The winning playwrights will be honored tonight, May 10th at the Young Playwrights Festival awards ceremony.
