New York Musical Theatre Festival 2015 Launches Today; Full Lineup!

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) recently announced its full lineup of productions, readings, and concerts for NYMF 2015. From today, July 7, to July 27, NYMF 2015 will present almost two dozen productions of new musicals, including the newly announced Passing By and Summer Valley Fair. In addition, NYMF 2015 will also feature staged readings and the debut of brand new concerts.

FST Premieres Apprentice Lab Project This Week

FST Acting Apprentices prepare to take center stage with the introduction of the Apprentice Lab Project. This inaugural performance project will take place in Bowne's Lab Theatre today and tomorrow, May 28 and 29 at 7:00pm.

FST to Present OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER as Part of Stage III Lab Series

How old is Old Enough to Know Better? FST explores this question and more in the inaugural Stage III Lab production of Old Enough To Know Better by Richard Hopkins and Jason Cannon. This production will run for a two-week limited engagement in Bowne's Lab opening on June 12. FST to Premiere Apprentice Lab Project, 5/28-29

FST Acting Apprentices prepare to take center stage with the introduction of the Apprentice Lab Project. This inaugural performance project will take place in Bowne's Lab Theatre on May 28 and 29 at 7:00pm. Showcasing the new works of up-and-coming performers, the Apprentice Lab Project is a culmination of the Acting Apprentices' experience at FST. FST to Open 2014-15 Burdick Reading Series This Month

Florida Studio Theatre announces its annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by contemporary American playwrights. The series will take place in the Keating Theatre on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 2 at 2:00pm, and Saturday, May 9 at 2:00pm, and is part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays. Tickets for the series are 3 staged readings for $25, or individual readings for $10. Additionally, FRIENDS of FST can purchase a subscription for all 3 staged readings for $15. FST Extends DANCING LESSONS Through 3/14

Audiences and critics agree with this statement. Therefore, FST has announced that Dancing Lessons has been extended a second time, now playing through March 14 in the Keating Theatre. Jessica Hendy, Spencer Kiely & More Set for WENDY'S SHADOW Reading Tonight at Irvington Town Hall

Irvington Town Hall Theater's Stage Door series, which presents readings of new works in progress in a relaxed setting without sets, costumes, or props, will soon present a fresh new musical of the story of Peter Pan called 'Wendy's Shadow' created by the team of David Maglione and Tomas Ruiz and Jason Cannon tonight, November 24 at 7:30pm. The reading will be directed by Jonathan Sang, with musical direction by Kristen Dziuba, and stage management by Ashley Newman.

Regional Premiere of DANCING LESSONS at Florida Studio Theatre Begins 12/12

The Regional Premiere of Dancing Lessons by Mark St. Germain is FST's second Mainstage show of the season. Opening in FST's Keating Theatre on December 12, the show runs through February 27. Florida Studio Theatre Presents 2014 Mandelker Award to Katelyn McKelley

Florida Studio Theatre has announced the 2014 recipient of the Mandelker Award is Katelyn McKelley. Every year, the staff of Florida Studio Theatre appoints one outstanding intern to receive the Daniel R. Mandelker and Marlene N. Harris Scholarship award. This award is given in recognition of their talent, drive, and achievement. In addition, the person is chosen because they exemplify the mission and core values of FST and act as a model for others through their natural leadership.

National Showcase of New Plays Set for Florida Studio Theatre's Keating Theatre, 11/21-23

Playwrights, directors, and agents alike will gather in Florida Studio Theatre's Keating Theatre on November 21, 22, and 23, 2014 for the National Showcase of New Plays. The National New Play Network is the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays. Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) has some new additions to the lineup this coming season along with a new theater manager. Joining the ever popular Best of Film Series (now in its 6th year) which will run one night each month, ITHT is adding two new series that will play throughout the season on alternate months: The Irvington Stage Door and Cabaret on the Hudson.

FST Hosts 2014 Young Playwrights Festival Ceremony Tonight

The plays are here! Florida Studio Theatre's 2014 Young Playwrights Festival has begun. Plays from over 3,000 playwrights were received from all over Florida and across the globe. FST is proud to announce that the winning plays of the Under Six and Seven Up programs have been selected. The winning playwrights will be honored tonight, May 10th at the Young Playwrights Festival awards ceremony.
