MidAtlantic Opera and Seton Hall University to Present Purcell's DIDO AND AENEAS, 5/1-4

The MidAtlantic Opera Company and Seton Hall University co-present a fully-staged production of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, conducted and stage directed by Jason C. Tramm. Performances begin May 1, 2014 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center, and will be presented over four performances through May 4.

'Potions, Poisons and Passion's Prescriptions led by Maestro Jason C. Tramm will be broadcast live via web stream at 7PM on January 29th from New York's National Opera Center. The program featuring dramatic soprano Christina Major and Tenor Alok Kumar accompanied by concert pianist Michael Fennelly will launch the 2014 season of New York's Arts and Sciences Salon.

Conductor Jason C. Tramm has announced the addition of noted tenor Alok Kumar and distinguished pianist Michael Fennelly to the concert cast of the January 29th performance of “Potions, Poisons and Passion's Prescriptions” at Opera America's National Opera Center in New York. The concert launches the 2014 season of New York's Arts and Sciences Salon.

On Sunday November 17 at the historic Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark Jason C. Tramm will conduct New Jersey's Kristallnacht Concert in works by Bernstein, Halpern, Levine and Miller. The concert marks the finale of New Jersey's official week long observance, November 9 through 17, of the 75th Anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the "Night of Broken Glass."

Jason C. Tramm, Artistic Director and principal conductor of the MidAtlantic Opera will lead members of the Annapolis Chamber Chorale in a concert of classical choral music Sunday October 13, 2013 at the Chapel at Charlestown Village, Maryland. The Annapolis Chorale is the centerpiece of Live Arts Maryland, one of the mid Atlantic region's largest and most active musical institutions, home to The Annapolis Chorale, The Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, The St. Anne's Concert Series and the Annapolis Youth Chorus.

On Sunday July 14, 2013 7:30 p.m. at the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove Jason C. Tramm will lead the 59th Annual Ocean Grove Choir Festival, one of the premiere sacred music events of the Mid-Atlantic region. Over 1000 choristers, soloists and musicians will be featured in an evening of works by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Thomas Juneau, John Ness Beck, Rene Clausen, Hubert Parry, and Anton Bruckner. Featured soloists will include Monica Ziglar Soprano, Martha Bartz Mezzo-soprano, Ronald Naldi Tenor and Jeremy Galyon Bass.

Ms. Perez, a graduate of New York's renowned Julliard School is a great admirer of French opera works. Ms. Perez made her operatic debut with the Canadian Opera Company singing the title role of Juliet with Marcello Giordani as Romeo, in Gounod's Romeo and Juliet.
