LA's own Impro Theatre continues their residency at The Edye at The Broad Stage, presenting a different style of their signature improvisation for one weekend, each month.  Paying homage to the genius of William Shakespeare, Shakespeare UnScripted (April 20 - 22) spontaneously creates a brand new play, for every performance, in The Bard's unmistakable style. Using language that sizzles with poetry, colorful imagery and bawdy innuendo, Impro Theatre brings to life the monarchs, spirits, lovers and fools that make up Shakespeare's world.

The Sacred Fools Theater Company is delighted to present the World Premiere of The Art Couple by Brendan Hunt (Absolutely Filthy), directed by Lauren Van Kurin. The comic mayhem begins Friday, February 16 and runs through Sunday, March 17 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 7pm (with the exception of Sunday, March 4 - no performance that date). The show will be performed in the Black Box Theater of the Broadwater Theater Complex.

The World Premiere of The Postman Always Rings Twice by Jon Jory takes the stage at San Jose Stage Company as a part of their 35th Anniversary Season: "Truth & Illusion".  Adapted from the 1934 novel by James M. Cain, this play examines a love affair turned deadly. This crime thriller explores the consequences of attempting to escape fate.

Random Acts has announced the second #safespace event, hosted by comedian Brittany Meyer and taking place at Mrs. Murphy's and Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago) on Sunday, April 22nd at 6pm. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Trans Lifeline.

Academy Award Nominee Sally Hawkins To Executive Produce New Thriller CORDELIA

Austentatious: The Improvised Jane Austen Novel has extended its run at the Savoy Theatre, with two further dates announced today in June and July.

After a regular season featuring over three dozen different serials, only one champion will emerge as the Serial Killers playoffs are set to begin at 11pm on Saturday, April 7 in the Black Box at The Broadwater Theater Complex. As each serial's story is told episodically, each week is another installment, but only two finalists will get to finish telling their tales and only one of those two will crowned the winner by audience vote.

Tony Award-winning Trinity Repertory Company, under the artistic leadership of Arthur P. Solomon and Sally E. Lapides Artistic Director Curt Columbus, announced the company's 55th season today. This year's Fete, Live from Kansas City … It's Saturday Night, features performances by internationally-acclaimed comedy troupe, The Second City and resident comedian at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Seth Herzog. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents the Tony Award-winning musical The Bridges of Madison County, based on the 1992 bestselling novel by Robert James Waller about love both lost and found. Set amidst the cornfields of Iowa in 1965, this passionate musical follows the unexpected affair of a devoted Italian-born housewife and a roving National Geographic photographer set over four sensual, heart-stirring days. Brilliantly adapted by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Marsha Norman ('night Mother, The Secret Garden, The Color Purple) with music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade), it captured the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical Score. The Bridges of Madison County, directed by TheatreWorks Artistic Director and founder Robert Kelley will be presented April 4 - 29, 2018 (opening night: April 7) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St., Mountain View.
