Dame Helen Mirren is currently considering a role as Queen Elizabeth II in THE AUDIENCE, a play about the Queen's reign so far by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) in the West End this fall and on Broadway in spring 2013, according to the New York Post. Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) has been tipped to direct the play, which will humanise the Queen by mixing stories of her private and public lives.
Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Kevin McCormick today announced that their production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will open at the London Palladium in June 2013 after a preview period. The new stage musical will be directed by Sam Mendes, with a book by David Greig and new songs from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

The 42nd annual CAPA Summer Movie Series at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) begins June 15, and features 27 films over nine weeks. The Series opens with the Oscar-winning, American classic, Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, which runs June 15-17.
